This tour begins with front door pick up from your (Auckland, Rotorua, or any point in between) accommodation. We make our way through the fabulous Central North Island countryside to the Agrodome, which is all that its name conveys and more. Here we take in a hilariously funny farm show, with brilliantly trained sheepdogs, sheep, and maybe even a cow and a few ducks. There is plenty of opportunity for audience participation and if you like, you might have the opportunity to milk a cow or bottle-feed a lamb. After the show, peruse the fabulous Agrodome gift shop where you can purchase your very own luxurious New Zealand woolen items, as well as other unique souvenirs such as Feijoa wine (yum)!

Then it's a short drive over to the gondola for a ride on their brand new state of the art cars, which will carry you up to the Skyline restaurant. Here, you can overlook Lake Rotorua and town, while enjoying a delicious Kiwi lunch.

After satisfying your appetite for good food, fun, and scenery, you will be chaufferred to Te Puia, a functioning school set up to teach the ancient Maori arts and crafts so they would not be forgotten in a modern New Zealand. You will be told the ancient stories while you pass beside bubbling mudpools and beautiful blue-green hot spring pools, watching for erupting geysers.

Afterward, settle in to your luxurious seat and watch the scenery or the inside of your eyelids while we make the drive back to your accommodation, a relaxing one for you.

This is a 2 day tour beginning with front door pickup from your (Auckland, Matamata, or any point in between) accommodation. Travel through the beautiful Central North Island countryside to the one and only Hobbiton. This is the only Lord of the Rings film set still partially intact and the scenery is even more beautiful in person than on screen. After visiting the Hobbit Holes, enjoy a scrumptious pre-arranged lunch at the Shire's Rest on-site restaurant.

Enjoy more beautiful scenery such as the Fitzgerald Glade on the way to Rotorua. Upon arrival there, we will stop for a ride on the brand new state of the art gondola up to the top of extinct volcano, Mt. Ngongotaha. At the top, you can get your bearings by looking out over Rotorua and surrounding lakes. Then ride the gondola back down.

Be chaufferred to Whakarewarewa Valley, inhabited only by Maori who will treat you to a guided tour of their historic village and tell you ancient stories while you pass beside bubbling mudpools and beautiful blue-green hot spring pools, watching for erupting geysers. View a cultural demonstration at the end of this informative and entertaining village tour.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., we will arrive at your overnight accommodation where you have free time until the next morning at approximately 9:00 a.m.

Enjoy a leisurely, self-guided audio tour of beautiful Rainbow Springs Nature Park. The spring waters are home to four types of trout which come and go freely from Lake Rotorua. Walk through and learn about the native plants and the Redwoods which grow twice as fast here as in their natural habitat!

Next, take in one of our famous farm shows, where you will be entertained and educated about New Zealand farming, by highly trained animals and their trainers.

No visit to New Zealand is complete without meeting a kiwi, the nocturnal bird which is our national icon. At Kiwi Encounter, a hatchery and nursery where young chicks are raised by staff for release back into the wild, you will enjoy a fabulous open-plan nocturnal area home to adult kiwi, along with wonderful educational exhibits and superb audio visual which provides additional understanding of these unique birds. Enjoy a tasty pre-arranged lunch at the cafe at Rainbow Springs.

Finally, ride with us to the Buried Village. Take a tour of Te Wairoa, the only village to be excavated after being buried by boiling mud, rock, and ash from the Mt. Tarawera eruption in 1886 which also destroyed the Pink and White Terraces, formerly drawing visitors from all over the world. Find out what we've learned from New Zealand's greatest natural disaster.

We will return you to your (Rotorua, Auckland, or any point in between) accommodation between approximately 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

This popular tour begins with a chauffer - driven trip from Auckland through lovely Rodney District along beautiful coastlines and over the breathtaking Pohuehue Viaduct, up through Northland, to the Bay of Islands.

Our first stop is Kerikeri, where we will have a leisurely café lunch in gorgeous surroundings. Then we will visit the historic and fascinating Mission House, New Zealand's oldest standing European building. The garden, first dug in 1820 and cultivated ever since, recalls this mission period. The Stone Store, New Zealand's oldest standing European stone building, was built in 1832-36 to house wheat. The buildings contain relics and displays of their own history and are notable as scarce examples of Regency buildings in New Zealand.

From Kerikeri, we will travel back to Paihia, where you will be taken on a guided tour of the unrivaled Waitangi Treaty Grounds, overlooking the Bay of Islands. This is New Zealand's pre-eminent historic site. It was here on February 6, 1840, that the Treaty of Waitangi was first signed between Maori and the British Crown. You will come away much richer in knowledge of the people and history of New Zealand. This is the perfect time to check in to our premium Paihia accommodation for free time until the following morning.

At 9:30 a.m., we will meet and make our way to the wharf to catch a fast boat over to romantic Russell. While in Russell, we will visit Pompellier House for a fascinating and informative guided tour, including printing press and leather tanning demonstrations. We will also visit historic Christ Church and cemetery, have lunch at a lovely café, and if you like, get an old fashioned scoop of ice cream! Then we catch the fast boat again for a 1 ½ hour trip out to Hole in the Rock. We will take you through the inner and outer islands of the Bay to the awe-inspiring scenery of Cape Brett, then cruise through the Hole in the Rock and explore deep into Cathedral Cave.

After arriving back at the Paihia wharf, we will head back to Auckland, last but certainly not least, stopping in Kawakawa to visit the amazing Hundertwasser Toilets! You have to see them to believe them!
