As a fourth generation Kiwi raised on a Northland farm, my secondary education in a prestigious Auckland boys' school and tertiary education in a South Island university account for the beginnings of my intimate knowledge of New Zealand. The rest, I have gained through a sense of adventure, by personally exploring New Zealand as an adult.
